Terrasson is a pretty town in the north of the Dordogne department.

Terrasson is known for the blue slate roofs seen on many of the buildings, unusual in most of the Dordogne region.

These can be appreciated from the Jardins de l'imaginaire - stylish, contemporary gardens that overlook the town, and the reason for most visits to the town, they are renowned worldwide.

The town itself is also worthy of exploration, especially for the 'old bridge' and the abbey.
